Copycats or Creative Christians

I was in the Bible bookstore yesterday and noticed a plethora of secular items turned Christian.  T-shirts embossed with ”Nike, Mountain Dew, and Facebook slogans” only with Christian messages, books that have secular counterparts in Barnes and Noble, posters, music, DVD’s, and other stuff.  Each of these items had taken a familiar secular icon and transformed it into “Christian.”   Don’t get me wrong here - I like the stuff and I am among many others who make Christianity good for business.  I’m just wondering instead of copycatting secular phenomenons, couldn’t we use our God-given creativity to influence the world.  How cool would it be if Nike or Pepsi borrowed from the church?   Instead of Christians flip-flopping slogans and logos to Christianity, the church has such a creative influence in our communities that God’s stuff starts influencing culture.
